Arnold Palmer Tournament Golf
No help golfGenre: sports - golf
Publisher: Sega
Year: 1989
System: Genesis
Gameplay Score: 1
Gameplay Notes:
Pretty standard controls but dumbed down so far that it's nigh unplayable. The view of the hole is always on screen, but aiming is done from the large view so it's nearly impossible to guage where the ball will go. And putting is even worse. The view is overhead and you're a small sprite which covers the ball. If the hole is just above you it is covered by your sprite. Oh and you can select a club, of course, but the game doesn't tell you the max distance for that club. So you have no idea how hard to hit it. It's playable, but just barely.
Level Design Score: 3
Level Design Notes:
Tournament or practice modes. Lots of practice modes. Not too shabby
Theme Score: 1
Theme Notes:
Arnold Palmer's name is on the box and title screen. The rest is a generic looking golf game.

Art Style Notes:
Looks like a Master System game. A poor looking one at that. No animation. No nothing.
Audio Score: 2
Audio Notes:
Four musical tracks to choose from. They're all fine. Sounds effects are minimal.
