Bassin's Black Bass

There's a tree stump in a Louisiana swamp with a higher fun factor

Gameplay

Ok as a sequel to Super Black Bass this game is far more accessible since they give you a helper who tells you how to play. The first one had no such help. Still, the core gameplay hasn't changed. You still just boat around, cast, and hope a fish bites. This time you have to hook the fish somehow. It's still a mystery to me, even after catching 3 fish.
A dull, repetitive, and mindless minigame.

Level Design

This time around there are some hazards like reeds and weeds that slow your lure. But that's about the extent of the level design.

Theme

It's fishing. Uggh

Art Style

Vastly improved from the previous game. The angler looks and animates (such as it is) quite nicely. You can even customize your avatar somewhat.

Audio

So bad they're good. No music to speak of (thank goodness) but the sounds are both annoying and hilarious. Reeling in the line is an obnoxious and ever present sound while pressing pause is the sound that plays on an airplane when hailing the flight attendant. The nibbles of fish and splashing of waves are also somewhat strange sounding.
