Gameplay

Has a turbo (aka dash) button! Hallelujah
Also includes pass, shoot, and lob buttons.
Deep gameplay. Tons of strategies to pick and obvious ability to set up plays. Opponents don't swarm to you which gives you time to think and set things up.
If I liked soccer I might enjoy this more.
View is side-on making it more accessible than FIFA in my mind.

Incredible sprites and animation. Easily the best looking soccer franchise on SNES.
Has a crowd that looks like it belongs in a NASCAR game.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
