Gameplay

Forgiving controls.
Nice tall jump.
70
70% draw distance.
Moves are limited to a punch, a jump kick, and a crouched kick but they each have decent range and again a forgiving hit box.
Platforms are easy to navigate.
Enemies have either dumb, predictable patterns, or lunge at you for cheap hits. Luckily they have large hit boxes which line up well with your attacks.

Level Design

Go to the right. Strictly linear.
Some elements are thrown in to keep things interesting, like SMB3-style spinning platforms, but it's all very standard fare for the genre.
Still, it's much better than the collectathon nonsense in other titles.

Theme

Chinese theme. Jackie is in his gi and fights fantastical creatures. It's a mashup of Mystical Ninja with Mario.

Art Style

Cute and colorful. A few nice effects, like becoming a shadow when walking behind curtains.
Great animation and sprite work. There aren't many enemies and there are only ever a couple on screen at a time but what's here looks nice.

Audio

Pleasant but repetitive music. Like an 8-bit version of the Legend of Mystical Ninja sountrack.
Sound effects vary from pleasant to loud and obnoxious.
