Gameplay

Plays like the old Shinobi ninja throwing minigame combined with Showdown from Wii Sports Resort.
Enemies hop between three planes and throw fast projectiles. Barely any time to react. If you do you can block the projectile and sliding the cursor lets you slash whatever is in the closest plane. Pretty cool concept.
Confusing hit detection. The cursor seems more like a suggestion than a rule, especially when enemies are close.
No rapid fire when throwing ninja stars so you have to mash a lot. I wish I could rate it higher, but no one likes a shooter without rapid fire.
At least it's compatible with the SNES Mouse!

Level Design

Pretty standard scroll-to-the-right.

Theme

You're a ninja who's girlfriend has been captured and you travel through time to rescue her. Pretty standard setup. Come to think of it, the story and setup are identical to Turtles in Time.

Art Style

Art is ok but kind of drab. Backgrounds are generally uninteresting and they crawl along ever so slowly. Sprites are well drawn though

Audio

Music is pretty decent but the sounds are so so so horrible. Taking a hit sounds like a walrus call and killing a Nazi (yeah, there are WWII Nazis in this game) sound like an over-the-top death keel from a 1960s samurai flick. Just awful sound design.
