Gameplay

Commits a lot of western dev sins - floaty controls, slow movement, collectathon, eats inputs, confusing power-ups, long attack animations, water drips give damage, etc.
However, there's a lot of charm and they don't add up to an unplayable experience.
Controls are par for the course with Bonk games. The mid-air spin/dive move is tricky to master. Every odd numbered spin results in a downward attack while an even number leaves you vulnerable. I feel like James Bond in GoldenEye counting the number of times Boris clicks the explosive pen.
Good hud
Easy to discern objectives
Gimmick is growing large or small, ala New SMB
Other difficult mechanics to understand are how to climb walls and waterfalls and some columns and platforms which let you spin/rotate around them. Hard to know how to jump off them.

Level Design

Lots of wacky levels like boarding and traversing a flying 747, getting sucked into an innocuous looking enemy and traveling through his insides. The levels make good use of Bonk's abilities and you never get lost in them.

Theme

Very goofy when compared to other Bonk games, which stick closely to the caveman motif. This one gets super weird and seems to be set in a modern setting.

Art Style

Graphics are quite simple, but attractive. Lots of goofy stuff to look at.

Audio

Music is as wacky and unpredictable as the rest of the game. Good stuff
