Gameplay

There's a reason why this game has by far the most fan made hacks - it's gameplay is so balanced and fun that it begs for more levels to be made.

Level Design

An unbelievable amount of content when compared to other platformers of its time. Most games in this genre contained less than an hour's worth of playtime for the average gamer while this game takes hours to explore it all. There is so much variety and memorable set pieces in this game that it would be impossible to list them all.

Theme

Dinosaur Land has charm. It's a happy place.

Art Style

Simple, clean, and timeless. The visuals could not be more perfect.

Audio

Most of the tracks are riffs of a single song but there's a surprising variety to the music. The echoing of the underground track and the ghost house music are two examples of well-crafted music that gives the game character and substance. The sound effects are absolutely top notch as well.
