Plays better than it looks

Gameplay

Buttons to jump, throw underhand, or throw overhand.
Attack enemies by bopping (multiple times, generally) or hit with a thrown ball. Overhand throw has an upward arch so it's pretty useless. Enemies are also easy to avoid.
Very easy game
Slippery controls but minimal precision platforming makes them tolerable.
Massive draw distance problems - maybe 40% going right but 30% going left
Weird mechanic where you jump and immediately jump again to get a little more height. Why not just give me a double jump or let you jump a little higher if you hold down on the button.
Looks and feels like a DOS platformer of the era.

Level Design

Uninspired not too bad. Very simple and easy. Obviously made for small kids.

Theme

Everybody likes Tom & Jerry, right?

2 / 5

Art Style

NES++ graphics
Well-drawn sprite of Jerry, but very basic, two frame animation.
Enemy sprites are poorly drawn, flat and side-on with minimal animation.
Backgrounds are devoid of detail as well.

Audio

Simplistic, single channel music with annoying chirp sounds.
Generic sound effects that don't sound like anything from the cartoon.
