Twin Cobra: Desert Attack Helicopter
Genre: shooter - vertical
Publisher: Sega
Year: 1991
System: Genesis
Gameplay Score: 3
Gameplay Notes:
Highly challenging. One hit death and start back at the start of the stage each time. Uggh Bullet hell. All bullets look the same and are easy to identify. Slow movement can't be upgraded Four weapons that are upgradable with lots of powerups floating around. Frenetic gameplay.
Level Design Score: 4
Level Design Notes:
Never a dull moment in this game. This one will test your reaction times. Major props for filling the screen with enemies. There are only a handful of enemies which appear in a variety of waves, placements, and numbers. Some are stationary while others are ground- or air-based.
Theme Score: 3
Theme Notes:
Old school top down shooter. Not terribly exciting to be honest.
Art Style Score: 3
Art Style Notes:
Again a very simple early shooter, but performs well and feels refined. Enemies pop and are easy to identify on screen. Think Raiden or 1943
Audio Score: 3
Audio Notes:
No sound from your regular shot. Arcadey music. Somewhat catchy but again very simple stuff
