World Series Baseball '95

The one with an unskippable home run trot

Genre: sports - baseball

Publisher: Sega

Year: 1995

System: Genesis

Gameplay Score: 2

Gameplay Notes:

After each home run you have to watch them your around the bases for about 30 seconds. It's unskippable and so stupid. They added an option to switch your base running controls so you choose the base you're running to instead of the one you're coming from. Thank you Plays a bit faster Still extremely simple and frankly boring.

Level Design Score: 3

Level Design Notes:

Lots of modes and whatnot. They added some options like disabling the sound and difficulty levels. These are very welcome.

Theme Score: 2

Theme Notes:

Feels a tiny bit more exciting, but frankly it still feels like you're watching robots play. Not an exciting sports title.

Art Style Score: 2

Art Style Notes:

The animation is slightly better but I still hate the washed out colors and fake looking sprites. Not appealing.

Audio Score: 1

Audio Notes:

Same as the previous game. Who wants constant crowd noise?! Grr At least the play by play is minimized.

Overall Score: 43
