Pikiinya! for SFC

Pikiinya!

Pink penguin porn puzzler

Genre: puzzle - blocks

Publisher: ASCII Entertainment

Year: 1997

System: SFC

Gameplay Score: 3

Gameplay Notes:

It looks and plays a lot like Mahou Poi Poi Poitto with large 2x2 blocks that can be rotated. Your goal is to assemble rows of 6 solid blocks of ice or 6 contiguous sets of penguins to eliminated those blocks. This is easier said than done due to the massive blocks. One small mistake spells certain doom for your game. Even in the easiest setting I can't last more than 8 minutes in a match. While it's fun for a little while it quickly becomes a drag. Were it the only block game I'd have ever played I'd say this is a good game, but against its competitors it's only average.

Level Design Score: 3

Level Design Notes:

The usual modes, minus a puzzle mode. Plenty of variety and the inclusion of a difficulty setting is most welcome.

Theme Score: 2

Theme Notes:

You play as the ugliest penguin of all time - one with the rectangle eyes of a goat and a head with no body. However, an overtly sexy pink penguin with a top knot blond ponytail and anime eyes handles all the menus and other text. It's...weird.

Art Style Score: 3

Art Style Notes:

Aside from the pink penguin the graphics are colorful and well drawn. The menus and HUD give a clear picture of how to play the game.

Audio Score: 3

Audio Notes:

Upbeat music that didnt get on my nerves, but definitely isn't something to listen to intently. Silly sounds.

Overall Score: 59
