Gameplay

Identical to Bomberman 3. I couldn't find any meaningful or trivial changes. Just new stages.

Level Design

Tons of stages. It's all the same stuff we've seen in the previous three games, but it's all good. A few new environmental features are added, like see saws which fling bombs around. This only adds to the pandemonium of the gameplay.

Theme

Something about this game's characters and setting feels less interesting. I'm not sure what exactly it is. It's still better than most, but it feels more forced than the purity of the previous games.

After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
