Time Gal for Sega CD

Time Gal

Turtles in Time, if April was making the time jumps

Genre: fmv - n/a

Publisher: Renovation

Year: 1993

System: Sega CD

Gameplay Score: 2

Gameplay Notes:

The reaction time required is insane, even on Easy. This game is significantly more difficult than Road Avenger or Revenge of the Ninja. It plays just like those games, with all four directions or pressing any face button being the possible choices. I like that the timing isn't precise, so you can mash, just like in Road Avenger. Still, this is a step below the other Wolfteam titles.

Level Design Score: 2

Level Design Notes:

The levels are incredibly short - often only required a handful of inputs. They'er far shorter than the other Wolfteam FMV titles.

Theme Score: 4

Theme Notes:

You're a cute laser toting warrior time traveler girl jumping between different eras of time. It's Turtles in Time, but as a hot chick.

Art Style Score: 3

Art Style Notes:

Looks as good as a Sega CD FMV can. Like the other Wolfteam titles, it's letterboxed and has the familiar SCD dithering, but it looks good, all things considered.

Audio Score: 2

Audio Notes:

The protagonists constant screaming gets old real quick.

Overall Score: 44
