Andre Agassi Tennis
Prince of Persia plays TennisGenre: sports - tennis
Publisher: TecMagik
Year: 1993
System: Genesis
Gameplay Score: 0
Gameplay Notes:
Unbelievably laggy. Imagine playing tennis with the guy from Prince of Persia. Yeah, it's unplayable. The ball is virtually impossible to hit. The ball is more likely to hit you than you are to hit it. The hit detection is atrocious. The computer seemingly has the same struggles as you. Prepare for more aces than rallies.
Level Design Score: 3
Level Design Notes:
Three modes: Practice, Tournament, and Skins Tournament. Anyway the modes are ok. You can play doubles and any number of sets you'd like.
Theme Score: 2
Theme Notes:
Andre Agassi isn't my favorite athlete but his presence amounts to just the title screen. Oddly his stats are pedestrian compared to the other playable characters. You'd think he'd pad his own stats. As a tennis game this is presented ok.
Art Style Score: 1
Art Style Notes:
The sprites are tiny. The tennis court is also very small on screen which means a large part of the screen is wasted. Animation is horrible. This is a big reason why the ball is so hard to hit. It's tiny and jumps around the screen. Good use of color, but again the graphics are a big reason why the game is so hard to play.
Audio Score: 3
Audio Notes:
Good voice samples. Good sounds
