Art Alive!

SG Paint

Genre: educational - n/a

Publisher: Sega

Year: 1992

System: Genesis

Gameplay Score: 0

Gameplay Notes:

No mouse support means this Mario Paint or MS Paint wannabe is an absolute chore to use. It's a shame because the painting features all work ok and the menu system which is accessible via the Start button are immediately understandable. That said this is the most shallow software released for the Genesis. There's 5 minutes of entertainment value, maybe.

Level Design Score: 1

Level Design Notes:

You can draw (without a mouse) or animate a sprite. That's it.

Theme Score: 1

Theme Notes:

Little to no personality. Other than Sonic and Toejam & Earl stamps that is

Art Style Score: 2

Art Style Notes:

Completely flat and simple in every sense of the word. But what else would you expect from a blank canvas? What's here looks ok, there just isn't much of anything here.

Audio Score: 0

Audio Notes:

No music outside of the title screen. Sounds are forgettable. Except for the scale that plays when filling in with the paint bucket. Do re mi fa so la ti do re mi fa so la ti do re mi fa so la ti do

Overall Score: 10
