Boogerman: A Pick & Flick Adventure

I'm glad we grew out of this phase

Genre: action - platform

Publisher: Interplay

Year: 1994

System: Genesis

Gameplay Score: 3

Gameplay Notes:

Responsive movement Booger fling kills most enemies One hit kills, thank you Draw distance increases as you walk - maxes out at 60% to the right Stupid unreadable hud like so many others

Level Design Score: 3

Level Design Notes:

Lots of optional collectables Much better than most western games Otherwise uninspired, just a flat plane with totally optional platforms in the trees above

Theme Score: 1

Theme Notes:

90s disgusting gross out setting Has not aged well

Art Style Score: 3

Art Style Notes:

Impressive animation Mostly flat THQ-esque platforms and backgrounds Everything is green- you'd think this was made by the Wachowskis Technically impressive

Audio Score: 3

Audio Notes:

Belch, fart, booger squish, loogie hocking. Like a game of Earwax on Jackbox 4. Decent music that fits the setting Tons of voice samples that play each time you pick up certain items. Gets old quickly

Overall Score: 58

Review ID: 794
