BreakThru! for SNES

BreakThru!

Not to be confused with a good game like Tetris

Genre: puzzle - blocks

Publisher: Spectrum

Year: 1994

System: SNES

Gameplay Score: 1

Gameplay Notes:

Match 2. Objective is to fully clear the board. Extra pieces "fall" but have bizarre structures and make no sense. They fall so slowly and often don't fall to rest against the bottom of the screen. If you don't win quickly then you're stuck with a few pieces and then you hope that new pieces will fall but you're just stick there. You can't make them fall faster like in Tetris. No way to end the round either. Frankly it's just a poorly designed puzzle game.

Level Design Score: 1

Level Design Notes:

Just the one mode

Theme Score: 1

Theme Notes:

There's one background - the Berlin Wall. I guess you're trying to break thru the wall? Kinda weird but ok

Art Style Score: 1

Art Style Notes:

Not good. NES quality graphics

Audio Score: 1

Audio Notes:

Weird upbeat music. At least it can be turned off. Not Tetris quality that's for sure

Overall Score: 20
