Gameplay

I don't have the exercise bike peripheral so I can't play this game "as intended" but while using a controller I don't understand how this works. Or why it works. The only interesting thing you can do is hit L and R to hit the other bikers Road Rash-style.

As near as I can tell, the controls amount to: mash A for about 5 seconds to get your biker moving and then watch until the race ends. Seriously, that's it. The d-pad does nothing and continuous mashing will move you ahead a tiny bit but it's so tiring that it's not worth the effort. You can't control the movement of your bike in any way, shape, or form. Ultimately, I'd say this game is completely pointless software without the controller. Get a turbo controller and you're done.

Level Design

You have to complete 100 laps on the first track in order to see any of the other tracks. It should take about an hour of gameplay to get there so I'll never see those. The tracks do have some rolling hills so they're not flat like SMK but that's about the only interesting thing about them. They have some stuff in the track but because you can't actual control where you go there's no way to run into those.

Theme

Get some exercise while watching a video game play itself. Brilliant.
The 8 riders you can choose from are pure early-90s

Art Style

Very low framerate ruins what is otherwise a cool looking Mode 7 game. I'd like to see this running more smoothly.
