Chester Cheetah 2: Wild Wild Quest for SNES
Review #106
Chester Cheetah 2: Wild Wild Quest
I can't think of a Cheetos pun
Gameplay
Jump and dash, but only 30% draw distance so dash is unusable
Hover briefly like Yoshi's Island
Slow but decent controls
Plays like Bubsy only with much better controls
Lots of slowdown. So much so that it eats inputs. The game would be much better if the slowdown was reduced
Wall grab
Controls are more responsive than the Genesis version
Level Design
Better than the average western dev
Decent platforming
Level select
Variety of settings in cities across the country
Theme
90s mascots. Am I right?
Art Style
Surprisingly good.
Nice animations
Good use of color and shading to give sprites and backgrounds a bit of character.
Audio
Decent rock and roll riffs
Found myself bopping my head
