Chester Cheetah: Too Cool to Fool

Somehow this earned a sequel

Genre: action - platform

Publisher: Kaneko

Year: 1993

System: Genesis

Gameplay Score: 1

Gameplay Notes:

Jump and dash Eats inputs like crazy Much faster pace than the SNES version. Still a chore to play.

Level Design Score: 1

Level Design Notes:

Go to the right. Avoid everything Bland and boring

Theme Score: 2

Theme Notes:

Pretty silly but cute

Art Style Score: 2

Art Style Notes:

NES++ Novel 2.5D look but is a straight up platformer. Barely any animation Very simple graphics with no shading or effects

Audio Score: 2

Audio Notes:

Wow is the sound awful. The music is as bland as it is in the SNES version but the sound effects here make my ears bleed. The jump sound (THE JUMP SOUND!!) is like smashing the top three notes on a 12-key keyboard. All of the sounds are varying degrees of awful.

Overall Score: 25

Review ID: 826
