Gameplay
Same game. Same problems. It's a game of luck more than skill. Not fun.
By the way, where's Columns 2? Not that I want to play it, but why did we jump to 3? Is this a Final Fantasy thing where Japan got it but US audiences were denied because it was too hard for our feeble brains?
Level Design
Ok fine they added a story mode where you battle a series of characters. At least I think you do. I can't beat the first one.
Theme
Sega clearly wanted to compete with Bust a Move. Gone are the Roman scupltures in favor of cartoony chickens.
Art Style
The new aesthetics are cute, but they added some weird blinking animation to the next block that's coming down the pipe which makes it hard to read. That's a huge part of this game so I'm taking a point for that misguided decision.
Audio
Cute, bouncy music.
