Gameplay

Madden style play selection. In fact the whole thing feels a bit like Madden.
Gimmicks like exploding ball, fatigue, and players with robotic upgrades.
Surprising depth in gameplay options.
Actual movement is extremely unresponsive and frustrating.

Weird gimmicky sports title.
Not quirky like the Mutant League titles. This one takes itself seriously like Base Wars.

Art Style

There are about 3 character models. They animate and move well but are ugly. The field is titled and it sits on a grey background. There's no crowd or sidelines. Feels like I'm playing electric football.

Audio

A weird song plays constantly and cannot be turned off. There's a bunch of voice samples at the start and end of plays that actually are decent quality. But they get old. They're like a robotic voice.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
