Gameplay

Slow movement
Slippery controls with momentum issues. Feels very floaty and weird
Only two buttons plus a jump button. Yes, a jump button in a fighting game. This must be just before SF2.
Extremely shallow gameplay. Just punch and kick and two special moves.
For most attacks there's no stun following an attack so immediately after you land an attack your opponent can counter. Winds up being a constant back and forth.
Interesting skill tree after each match. Kinda cool

Level Design

Levels are quite interesting to look at. They include the side of a high rise building, some weird alternate dimension, and more normal settings.
Unfortunately, only 6 fighters and even fewer levels

Theme

Not sure what is going on but the setting feels better than the regular US-based revenge or street fighting game.
Looks and feels a bit like a cross between Fist of the North Star and Dragon Ball.

Art Style

Not too bad. Simple colors
Interesting and varied character models including a Goku wannabe, a mohawked clown straight out of Mad Max, a Poison Ivy clone, a fat chinese monk named P. Lump (subtle), an anthropomorphic dragon, and a T-1000.

Audio

Nice music meets the mood of the setting and theme
