Gameplay

Only hold one weapon at a time. Spread, green burst, continuous laser.
One hit death.
Some bullet hell situations.
Weapons can be powered up but it takes about two stages to get them to their limit.
The most difficult thing in the game is retaining the red laser because the game gives you the blue and green power ups 10x as often and the powerup pickup bounces around forever.
Good but not top tier.

Level Design

Non-stop action. No long periods of calm.
Lots of variety in enemy patterns and waves. Keeps you on your toes.

Theme

Flying a biplane is unique.
Land and take off between levels ala 194X series.
Tiny sprites come to service your plane and celebrate your takeoff. Fun.
It's a vertical Steel Empire.

Art Style

Lots of interesting details to look at like explosions, destructible environment, buildings and enemies.
No slowdown anywhere.

Audio

I love the compositions but they only use the same tinny sound over and over. Each level has its own track for a total of 5 or 6. Could've been great.
