Home Improvement

Tim Allen Fu

Genre: action - gun

Publisher: Absolute

Year: 1995

System: SNES

Gameplay Score: 2

Gameplay Notes:

Shockingly decent controls Multidirectional nail gun with unlimited ammo You can use a hookshot! but it's a bit wonky to control Destructible environment is kinda fun Some cool weapons Stupid ant enemies that are too low to hit (why do game makers do this?!) Enemies take way too many hits Health is Sonic style with nuts/bolts

Level Design Score: 2

Level Design Notes:

Iffy level design which amounts to a collectathon on a large map. Yaknow, like 90% of western dev games.

Theme Score: 0

Theme Notes:

Tim the Tool Man Taylor shooting ants with a nail gun. Who thought this would be a good premise for a video game? Worst concept since Shaq Fu Reminds me of the time I went to Microsoft X-Box group and they pitched the idea of a game based on Steve "The Crocodile Hunter" Irwin

Art Style Score: 3

Art Style Notes:

Decent graphics with good animation but boring sprites (as you might imagine)

Audio Score: 3

Audio Notes:

Absolutely ok

Overall Score: 42

Review ID: 223
