Gameplay

Unlimited lives. It's a trial and error game.
Isometric view.
Combat occurs in a battle view and I have no idea how to do it properly. In fact the buttons have no rhyme or reason. Sometimes a attacks with a jab sometimes. B does as well sometimes hitting left or right swings to the side. It completely random as near as I can tell. The weird thing is that enemy damage is retained when you die, so you can kill them over a few different sessions if they're are too powerful for you. The combat is so random and so unnecessary that I wonder why it was included at all.

Level Design

Structured a lot like Equinox or Zelda. Travel from room to room solving puzzles and riddles and fetch quests after fetch quests.
A map would've been nice.

Theme

Reminds me of Shadowgate. You're dropped into a dungeon and tasked with rescuing an old sorcery. I would've preferred a fair maiden but that's just me.

Art Style

Standard Western dev artwork. Virtually no color at all. You best enjoy gray and brown.
Animation of the sprites is ok and gives the game it's character. The death animations for both you and enemies is the most defining feature of the game.

Audio

Incredibly annoying glitch where the music restarts when you walk over certain tiles.
Music is ok. It has a mysterious vibe to it which fits the dungeon theme well. Certainty not something I'd listen to outside of the game.
Sound effects are not good, just grunts and thuds.
