Ishido: The Way of Stones
Minesweeper meets MahjongGenre: puzzle - blocks
Publisher: Accolade
Year: 1990
System: Genesis
Gameplay Score: 2
Gameplay Notes:
Place tiles on a large board. Each title has a color and a suit. Each placed tile must match the color or suit of every adjoining title, so eventually it gets difficult to place tiles when they have three or four other tiles near them. I didn't get it in my first round. One my second go I developed a strategy which almost worked. But the third time I had a strategy that I think will work going forward. And yeah, that's it. You can turn on hints but that's the only other feature.

Level Design Notes:
What levels? You can start a new game. No options. No modes. Just shuffle and redeal those tiles.

Barely any presentation. Just launch in. This one won't grab your attention nor will it offend your sensibilities.

Again barely anything to mention. You can choose between the different looks for the tiles. Uhh, that's it
