Gameplay

Literally floaty controls. You Bob up and down slightly as you move. This makes it hard to avoid damage. And when you take damage it's every frame. So if you sit on an enemy for a second your toast.
Movement is otherwise responsive, although there's only one attack so there's almost nothing to do but swim around and avoid enemies.
Major collect-a-thon going on

Level Design

Collect X number of widgets to open the exit.
Level 2 is an escort mission where an NPC has to follow you to be collected. But every level is a slight variation on the same theme.

Theme

Each mission is prefaced by a card explaining your objective. I guess it's vaguely like a mission-based James Bond theme but I don't really see the connection.

Art Style

Very early gen stuff but it looks good enough. The backgrounds aren't as busy as future installments in this series, which I appreciate.

Audio

Pretty simple, upbeat music and unpretentious sounds
