Gameplay

Miles ahead of Super Black Bass and Bass Masters Classic. Casting, hooking, and reeling in fish is as easy as pie. The challenge here isn't catching fish...it's finding them. Ultimately you just have to wander around the 5 or 6 fishing spots and buzz around the area before you hear your depth finder ping. i got bored after an hour of doing this and wouldn't come back to it but man it's a million times better than those other fishing games.
Also, there's no need to pick lures and engines and whatnot. This lack of complexity might be offputting to fishing fans but I appreciate the simplicity.
Maneuvering your boat is pretty awful though. Most notably, obstacles like reeds, trees, and other boats have huge and annoying hitboxes which makes it hard to get around the lake.

Level Design

The various areas of the lake have similar features but the fact that there are several of them means that you can scoot around and see a bit of variety during a playthrough.

Theme

It's fishing. The music and settings are incredibly unappealing to me

Art Style

HAHAHA I don't want to leave the title screen. I assume the dude giving a thumbs up is the titular Jimmy Houston and he does not disappoint. He looks like John Candy with the biggest blonde dutchboy haircut you've ever seen.
The graphics are otherwise very simple and uninteresting.

Audio

Has the standard twangy hillbilly music on menus but otherwise the game is completely silent.
