Gameplay

Not too shabby
SF2 control although some characters like Superman don't have a kick.
Many attacks have very short range so you have to play close quarters
Seems kinda silly to put Supes or WW against Green Arrow or Batman.
Only 6 fighters
Hit detection is good

Arenas are ok but some are weird, like Green Arrows which includes a gallery of wildlife straight out of a Disney cartoon

Theme

I've never liked DC much and this game didn't change that. Plus it has a long haired Superman and Batman in his lovely purple tights so they're at their worst in this one

Pretty good artwork and animation. However the character models are from a forgettable era in DCs history

Audio

Easily the worst thing about this game. The music is e non-existent or weird. There's not a single track that is even the least bit exciting.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk. There's an optional Active Battle System and an innovative Single and Team techniques system. No grinding necessary.
