Kawasaki Superbike Challenge
Race Drivin' on a motorcycleGenre: racing - bike
Publisher: Time Warner Interactive
Year: 1994
System: Genesis
Gameplay Score: 2
Gameplay Notes:
Plays like a fast Race Drivin'. Nowhere near as good as the SNES version, but it's playable due to the forgiving steering. the framerate is horrible. Like maybe twice the speed of Race Drivin' but about half of Stunt Race FX.
Level Design Score: 1
Level Design Notes:
I didn't get to play many tracks but they have interesting features like tight or smooth turns and some hills. Roadside signs help with navigation. The real problem is that there are virtually no other racers. You're alone pretty much the whole time. Ultimately the game design is just boring. There's no modes.
Theme Score: 2
Theme Notes:
Straight up driving simulation. Not my cup of tea
Art Style Score: 3
Art Style Notes:
Again, nowhere near as polished as the SNES version. This one uses polygons with ugly, flat colors. Low framerate.
Audio Score: 1
Audio Notes:
You have to really like the sound of a motorbike cuz pretty much all you hear is the high pitch whine of the engine. Impressive at first but then annoying as can be.
