Gameplay

Very slow movement. Not Sonic Blast Man slow, but pretty slow.
Weapon's reach isn't as far as it should be. Arthur seems to make a half swing of his sword.
The attack animation is sort of long and never hits multiple enemies so they can hit you while you're engaged with someone else.
The defend-counterattack mechanic is much better than in KoD but still feels out of place and not fun to use.
Planar precision is required. Kind of frustrating to find just the right spot.
I really wish you could grab. I like that feature in this genre.
Some interesting elements like knocking the stage 2 boss off his horse and then mounting up. In stage 3 you can this during one segment of the level. This makes your attacks more powerful but makes you move even slower and more deliberately.
Light RPG element with a level up mechanic. Not sure what it does tho.
No other powerups like in King of Dragons.

Level Design

Lots of variety in the backgrounds. The levels themselves are just corridors. Not much interesting to do. Actually there's a lengthy part where you storm a castle which was fun.

Theme

The King Arthur story has never intrigued me but swords and sorcery are cool. This only has the swords but it's still a nice setting for a beat em up.

Art Style

Really nice artwork, sprites, and animation. Impressive really. Much less pixelated than King of Dragons. Big step up

Audio

Nice nice, upbeat music. Sounds like JRPG music with lots of horns and complex composition.
