Includes a PvP battle mode
Fast-moving mechs as opposed to the plodding MechWarrior-style movement so common in western games
Ability to jump in and out of mechs, even enemy ones!
Somewhat awkward firing - have to rotate gun to position before firing

Labyrinthine levels with some outdoor environs
Interesting objectives like taking over a ship, picking up a hostage and escaping from ship. Not just get to the end of a level.

Anime-style intro and in-game dialogue sets the tone for this futuristic world. Feels like if the Aliensverse had a civil war

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk. There's an optional Active Battle System and an innovative Single and Team techniques system. No grinding necessary.
