Michael Andretti's Indy Car Challenge

Tap tap tap turning

Genre: racing - simulation

Publisher: Bulletproof

Year: 1994

System: SNES

Gameplay Score: 2

Gameplay Notes:

Not bad, but with one exception. One mistake and you may as well give up. If you crash your race is over. There's no way to recover. I guess that's real life but it's annoying here. Nice controls although there's a lot of tap tap tapping to get around a turn. I suppose that's true in any racing game without an analog stick but other games manage it better than this.

Level Design Score: 3

Level Design Notes:

Nicely designed tracks. 16 in total

Theme Score: 1

Theme Notes:

Generic F1 racing game without any gimmicks.

Art Style Score: 3

Art Style Notes:

Pretty good graphics, with nice animation and scaling of cars. The tracks all look the same so it all gets boring quickly tho. No slowdown anyway

Audio Score: 2

Audio Notes:

Terrible menu music

Overall Score: 46

Review ID: 336
