Gameplay

Possibly the easiest game on the SNES. Most hits don't take any damage on you.
Responsive controls. Jump, kick, special move, grab and throw moves. Hold up and attack for a strong attack that's different for each of the 5 playable characters. Finally there's a screen filling bomb.
Movement feels great. Not too fast and the jump is a good height. There's even a wall jump!
Excellent hit detection. No cheap hits here.
Plays a lot like Ninja Warriors, just much much easier.
The only negative is the extreme repetition. There's only one enemy which has 3 or 4 pallette swaps. There's just no variety in the combat at all. Only the bosses present some variety.

Level Design

Very long levels.
A four digit password let's you play in small chunks. They may as well have just included a stage select instead. This game was obviously made for small kids.
Not a ton of env hazards, but enough to keep the game interesting. A few light platforming sections where you grab and pull yourself onto platforms with spinning blades and such. Also a swimming section which is horrible because the enemies stay grounded and can attack while you float. Pretty strange.

Theme

I hate everything about the Power Rangers. I would never have given this game a try. However, the presentation isn't overly cheesy. If you look past the name it's an otherwise fine beat em up. Still, the resting animation for the black ranger has not reached well and the wimpy kid who covers his head while attacking is kind of adorable. So props to the dev for making some endearing qualities.

Art Style

I love the look of this game. It's very well drawn from the amazingly animated sprites to the detailed backgrounds. There aren't many effects to speak of our parallax scrolling or mode 7 effects, but the whole game just looks uniform and perfectly consistent. Very well done

Audio

Nice music. I hate myself s little bit for saying it but the music and sounds effects are excellent.
