Gameplay

Same slippery gameplay but easier passing and checking actually works this time. Fast paced gameplay as a result.
Much improved framerate and overall faster movement.
Fun as a multi-player game. Not NHL Hitz 20-02 fun, but pretty good as a party game.
AI is smart and they even pull the goalie if they're down at the end.

Level Design

Same as 93 but with a shootout mode added.

Theme

Added NHL license. Also added the guy at a newsdesk giving a brief prior to the game.

Art Style

Looks great. Excellent animation with no slowdown. Much cleaner artwork

Audio

Rocking menu music. Better in-game sounds with boos and cheers that react to what's happening on the rink.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
