Gameplay

Looks like EA had two teams working on NHL games. This is the better engine. This one plays faster but to its detriment. Your player flies around the rink - very hard to control.
Scoring is impossible.

No roster management from 95. Not that I would've used that, mind you. Standard Exhibition and Season modes plus Practice.

Good presentation. The loud menus are a bit much for me. I prefer the guy at the desk.

Adds some voice samples.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
