PGA Tour Golf II
Slightly more forgivingGenre: sports - golf
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Year: 1993
System: Genesis
Gameplay Score: 2
Gameplay Notes:
Hitting is quite a bit better than in the original. The cursor moves more slowly. It's still unforgiving but I had far more success here.
Level Design Score: 3
Level Design Notes:
All the same modes as the original. I like how it first shows you an overhead view, let's you pick your spot with an accurate count of how many yards to that point, and then let's you hit. The entire interface is accessible and comfortable. I only wish there weren't such long load times.
Theme Score: 2
Theme Notes:
This is your grandpa's golf game. Slow, boring, silent, and stuffy. Pros give advice between holes.
Art Style Score: 2
Art Style Notes:
Same Windows 3.0 menus. The course is still stark but attractive. Performs much better than the first game
Audio Score: 1
Audio Notes:
What's audio? This game doesn't believe in such things
