Gameplay

Responsive controls. Typical Capcom awesomeness.
Punch, kick, and jump kick work well with excellent hit detection.
Plentiful health drops on easy.
Grabs and throw work as expected.
Fast movement
Cool sequence where you pull out a handgun and blast the baddies. So satisfying

Level Design

All levels are broken up into multiple short segments. Lots of different types of enemy waves keeps things fresh.

It's the Punisher! Story is told during gameplay. Love the style

Art Style

Sprites look fine but could use more animation.
Backgrounds look awful. They're grainy, dark, and drab.
Might look better if I wasn't already familiar with the arcade game.

Includes an unbelievably annoying weight system, limiting both what you can carry and what your character can use as a weapon. If you’re overloaded, you are unable to move. After buying a few things at the weapons shop I thought the game was broken. I had to Google it and read about this weight mechanic. So stupid. It makes the game nigh unplayable. Even with a minimal inventory of a knife, a helm, and two food rations I could barely walk.
