Quackshot starring Donald Duck

I'm stunned

Genre: action - platform

Publisher: Sega

Year: 1991

System: Genesis

Gameplay Score: 3

Gameplay Notes:

Very slow movement. You've got a Dash button but it does absolutely nothing. Simple gun mechanic but you only use it to stun enemies and to create platforms, so I'm calling this a platformer and not a gun game. Stunning enemies is quite annoying. If you don't immediatley get past them while they're stunned you have to wait until they recover before shooting them again to proceed. It's a hassle.

Level Design Score: 2

Level Design Notes:

Extremely simple level design. Just platform, platform, platform. Shoot, shoot, shoot. The only interesting element is also an annoyance - you have to complete a stage before being told you need something in a different level. So the name of the game is backtracking through the extremely short (max 2 minute) stages over and over again to pick up the next key.

Theme Score: 4

Theme Notes:

It's a Donald heavy episode of Duck Tales. I wish I were playing as Scrooge instead.
