Gameplay

10 fighters
Very simple controls - only a normal and a strong attack
Only three special moves per fighter and some are useless
Very slow movement. This was obviously pre SF2 Turbo
Blatant Super Street Fighter 2 rip-off. You cna just about match up every fighter. The presentation makes up the difference as it's got a great arcade look and feel. Also worth noting: there's a sexy female character named Titi!!

Very quirky high school anime setting
I'm not into anime at all but this was somehow refreshing change of pace after so many dark, gritty western fighting games.

Beautiful artwork.
Animation would be more impressive if the game moved more quickly

Quirky stuff but also very quiet and subdued. Didn't get me excited to play

There's an optional Active Battle System and an innovative Single and Team techniques system. No grinding necessary. An assortment of sidequests and minigames like the actions you take at the Millennial Fair which influence how the trial plays out. One thing that I greatly appreciate is that you are never alone in a one-character party. You are joined by 3 other playable characters within the first hour of play.
