Roger Clemens' MVP Baseball for SNES
Review #472
Roger Clemens' MVP Baseball
Context switching
Gameplay
Fielding happens in a variety of camera views that are behind the fielder. Switching between these views is jarring, making it real tough to get to the ball. For example, a ball hit toward the hole between the 1st and 2nd basemen initially goes to the right of the screen but when the view switches, the ball is now going to the left of the 2nd baseman.
The controls of which base you throw to remains locked to the pitching view, so right is 1st base even though your view shows it on the left.
Just weird.
Level Design
Exhibition and a shortened season mode. No frills
Theme
Animations after good plays
Instant replay shows off home runs
Good for a sports game
No MLB or MLBPA license
Art Style
Colorful graphics.
Slightly cartoony but realistic looking player models. Reminds me of EA's MLBPA Baseball.
Audio
Good sound. Music gets old but can be disabled
