Skuljagger

Always be yourself, unless you can be a pirate. Then always be a pirate.

Genre: action - hack n slash

Publisher: Amer Sftwrk

Gameplay Score: 3

Gameplay Notes:

Big swinging sword Controls responsive Floaty starts and stops - like walking on ice Surprisingly competent controls Only two enemies per level Two button controls Can pick up a fruit as a weak projectile for some bizarre reason. A power up gives sword a projectile with limited range No other powerups or weapons

Level Design Score: 3

Level Design Notes:

Levels have some interesting elements but mostly a western maze-like level after level

Theme Score: 2

Theme Notes:

Totally nonsensical story and setting As bizarre as a Japanese title

Art Style Score: 3

Art Style Notes:

THQ quality licensed stuff graphics and art Minimal animation and boring background

Audio Score: 2

Audio Notes:

Some of the worst music in a video game.

Overall Score: 57
