Gameplay

Final Fight clone that doesn't offer too much unique or different.
Feels like it's running at half speed. You walk incredibly slowly and most attacks are slow as well.
Only one character to play as and no 2P option.
Special moves leave you vulnerable to counter attacks for a very long time.
The special moves are quite satisfying, despite leaving you vulnerable to and being so slow. After grabbing an enemy you either shaken and then throw them across the screen (doing hardly any damage) or else you wind up and deliver a powerful punch that hits everyone in front of you. Both attacks hit a lot of enemies on screen but if you miss you're vulnerable.
Attacks land while on a lower plane so the key is to say a bit below the enemies although this is easier said than done. It's quite annoying as it feels like the hit detection is way off.

Level Design

Very standard fare for the genre. Just wandering around streets full of living punching bags.

Theme

I like the superhero motif. However, wandering around a city beating up street thugs is not what I had in mind. Where are the comic book bad guys? Aliens? Something interesting? I was expecting weird but got boring. Captain Commando did the theme properly.

Art Style

Huge sprites with good animation. Very bright colors with some nice details. Good stuff.

Audio

Not bad, not great.
