Street Hockey '95

Yet another "street" title

Genre: sports - hockey

Publisher: GTE

Year: 1994

System: SNES

Gameplay Score: 0

Gameplay Notes:

Unresponsive controls. Some of the laggiest movement imaginable. You control one player and never switch. Players don't wear uniforms so it's hard to tell who is on your team. Screen is zoomed in and court is so long that you're off screen most of the time.

Level Design Score: 3

Level Design Notes:

Uhh, the modes are Fat Point, Rush, Whack, Crammit, and Hot Puck. So...I have no clue what any of those mean. There are half a dozen different courts. That's something I suppose.

Theme Score: 0

Theme Notes:

These "street" sports are novel, but so bizarre. If I wanted to live in the slums I would.

Art Style Score: 1

Art Style Notes:

Ok character models but they have only a couple of frames of animation. Really bad.

Audio Score: 0

Audio Notes:

"Gnarly dude!" You have really enjoys 90s slang to put up with the horrible voice samples in this game. The music is equally awful and the sounds are ok but don't imorove the package.

Overall Score: 17
