Gameplay

Gameplay amounts to the following pattern - 3 enemies appear. One positions behind you while another is in front. The third waits his turn to relief whoever gets hit down. As you attack one enemy the other waits two seconds and then performs an unlockable jump kick. To avoid this you move every second or so while making either punch or kick (doesn't matter which) to score three hits to knock one guy down. Once he goes down the next guy steps in and the cycle repeats. You can try to keep everyone in one side of you but the AI doggedly follows the pattern. It's predictable and as boring as it sounds.
The screen is scrolling ahead WAY too soon. It's giving me 90% draw distance as if that would be helpful. Hint: it's not. The scrolling is also halting so it moves quickly for a second and then stops and then quickly and stops.
Plays unbelievably slow. Feels like a PAL region game running at half speed.
The entire game feels like an early build that was rushed to market.

Level Design

Some cool set pieces like a True Lies-style glass elevator and an airport terminal.

Theme

It's Double Dragon!

Art Style

Excellent sprite work is lost on a sea of horrible performance.

Audio

Eh, it's alright. The voice sound effect when an enemy dies is comical.
