Gameplay

Not even as good as Military Madness.
Controls are inexplicably not responsive. Like there's lag or it doesn't always register.
Menus always assume you don't want to continue our confirm so every press requires a d-pad press as well.
No depth. Terrain doesn't seem to affect defense, for example.
Units have massive range so it's impossible to stay out of reach of your enemy.
RNG plays an enormous factor. An attack might take off 20 or 100% or sometimes even nothing. It's wildly inconsistent to the point of no longer being about strategy. This is a turn based luck game.

Level Design

It has the features your expect in a turn based strategy game of the time, like terrain and cities and whatnot. The maps are large and you can zoom to see them which is nice.

Theme

No personality whatsoever. Just a war game using 1980s weapons.

Art Style

Very simple graphics. Sprites have 2 frames of animation. Nearly NES quality

Audio

Music is ok but loud. I wound up muting it.
