Super Solitaire for SNES

Super Solitaire

One is the loneliest number

Genre: tabletop - cards

Publisher: Extreme

Year: 1993

System: SNES

Gameplay Score: 3

Gameplay Notes:

Works surprisingly well. I played for over an hour and didn't mind the controls. The only niggling issue I have is that it asks for confirmation and to dismiss the modal you HAVE to move the cursor to the ok button. It would've been nice if they moved the cursor for you by default. Has an Undo button but it's buried in a menu and can only go back an max of one turn which is a bummer. Oh wait, I just discovered that Undo and Ok are mapped to R and L respectively. Never mind about my complaints! Decent time waster. Nearly as good as the old Windows version.

Level Design Score: 3

Level Design Notes:

Tons of solitaire modes, including FreeCell which is my favorite.

Theme Score: 4

Theme Notes:

It's Solitaire. The world's most lonely game.

Art Style Score: 3

Art Style Notes:

Each mode has a unique background. Graphics are clear but lack any animation. It's not dynamic but it does the job.

Audio Score: 3

Audio Notes:

The music actually didn't get on my nerve although it can be turned of.

Overall Score: 61
