TaleSpin for Genesis

TaleSpin

Uggh, I'll wait in the Sea Duck

Genre: action - platform

Publisher: Sega

Year: 1992

System: Genesis

Gameplay Score: 1

Gameplay Notes:

Enemies respawn immedately after leaving the screen. Combat is done by shooting a short projectile. Many enemies bound are quickly making them very hard to hit. These enemies love to grab onto you and deal continuous damage. Very slow movement and short jump.

Level Design Score: 2

Level Design Notes:

Difficult to identify platforms. Optional collect-a-thon Like an ugly, flat, 2D DuckTales

Theme Score: 2

Theme Notes:

Love the show, but this game doesn't look or feel naything like it. Why is Baloo "shooting" bad guys with a paddle ball? So stupid!

Art Style Score: 2

Art Style Notes:

Massive disappointment compared to the other Disney games. Very dark colors. Everything is small. Small enemies. Tiny projectiles. Little platforms. It feels like the game is stuck in the bottom 1/3rd of the screen.

Audio Score: 1

Audio Notes:

Music sounds like two unrelated tracks playing over one another. Horribly annoying.

Overall Score: 28

Review ID: 1302
