Tecmo Super NBA Basketball
Simple, understandable, playableGenre: sports - basketball
Publisher: Tecmo
Year: 1993
System: SNES
Gameplay Score: 4
Gameplay Notes:
Movement isn't as realistic as NBA Live but it feels more like a video game. It's kind of the Tecmo Super Bowl of basketball games. That is, it is to NBA Live what TSB is to Madden. Players move in predictable patterns and you basically just have to pass the ball around until you find an open man and then drive in to dunk it or shoot it from where you are. Controls are mostly responsive and a bit easier to work with since players come to a full stop when they shoot. Movement isn't floaty like in every other basketball game.
Level Design Score: 3

Lots of modes and options.

Full NBA and NBAPA licenses. A nice, arcadey presentation that isn't distracting like most of the EA games.
